Successful Surveillance Operations

Your coach was right - you must be ready for the ball before it reaches your glove. It's easy to overlook, but having a plan of action can help make sure that no matter what comes your way, you will handle it competently and decisively. When playing baseball or softball this means knowing whether to simply throw to first or turn a double play; when surveying an area, understanding ahead-of-time what objectives are hoped to be achieved from the information collected ensures everything runs smoothly upon execution.

How To Conduct Surveillance

Surveillance is gathering any source of evidence for an investigation, or as we like to call it; human intelligence gathering. The (3) three main types of surveillance that private investigators utilize are: surveillance in the vehicle, on foot, and surveillance from remote cameras.

Before we dive deep into our story on surveillance, we want to ask you a question. Do you know who “Karen” is? Karen is a slang term for a white woman perceived as entitled or demanding beyond the scope of what is normal, this person is usually the one asking to speak with the manager. It’s now a trend on social media; where every entitled person people meet, is referred to as Karen.

So, if you’re a private investigator what do you do when you’re sitting on a public roadway and Karen comes up to you and accuses you of stalking?

New Law for Security Industry

On August 16, 2021 Dallas Barrett went to Whiskey Row for a night out with friends. Through the night a fight broke out between the security guards and Mr. Barrett. Six guards were used to restrain Barrett taking him to the floor, but ended up taking it too far. When police arrived on the scene Barrett laid unresponsive on the floor of the Nashville Bar. An autopsy would show Barrett passed due to oxygen deprivation. This incident prompted the state of Tennessee to take a step forward when it comes to the training of unarmed and armed officers where alcohol is being served on the premises.

Surveillance Workshop

“I’ve never done this before” is something Covert Results hears on a daily basis. When potential clients are calling to gather information on hiring a private investigator, specifically requesting a surveillance investigator, they often say that they have no idea where to start and that they have never turned to a private investigator as a guide in their relationship. During the initial consultation Covert Results will listen to the client and identify the problem. A plan will be set forth and it will be up to the client to put the plan in motion so it brings them results.

Finally Exonerated

Could you imagine being in prison for a crime you didn’t commit? That is exactly what happened to Adam Braseel. Adam spent twelve years in a Tennessee prison for a murder that he didn't commit. When the TBI decided to re-run a fingerprint, some 10 years later, from the murder scene of Malcolm Burrows, there was a hit. But, it wasn’t Adam’s. The print was from a cop killer and now deceased Kermit Bryson who also had red hair and owned a gold car, like Adam.
